Good Times Magazine Presents the 15th Long Island Music Festival (LIMF) Starting June 24th 2009
Westbury, NY (May 6, 2009) Good Times Magazine, celebrating their 40th anniversary, is proud to present the 15th Long Island Music Festival (LIMF)’s first round of shows taking place at clubs across Nassau and Suffolk counties; from June 24th – June 28th. Almost 70 bands will compete at local clubs and venues, the winner at each club moves on to the semi-finals, happening the first two weeks of August. There are two winners at each semi - finals who move on to the finals August 29th. There is free admission every night at every club in the first round. First prize at the finals is $1,500 cash plus a recording package.
The event, which is sponsored by some of the top companies dealing in the music business in the area - including Sound Surgeon Long Island (SSLI), C & C Duplication, Oil City Skate Park and Monster Music - will once again feature some of the best local acts in every conceivable genre performing at many different venues including bars, nightclubs, theatres and coffee houses; encompassing the fruitful landscape that has made Long Island the hotbed of talent it has been for the past forty plus years.
